Davos-Klosters has about 300 km of slopes and plenty of terrain beyond them. It is one of the best freeride places in the Alps, but off-piste nobody manages the risk for you.
It means riding outside marked slopes in untouched snow, with or without a climb. Terrain goes from open easy slopes to demanding couloirs. The right level depends on your experience, the snow and that day's weather.
To leave the piste the basic kit is mandatory: transceiver, shovel and probe. We also recommend an ABS pack and a helmet. We rent all of it: ABS 20€ per day, transceiver 15€, snowshoes 15€, helmet 15€. More in equipment rental.
On the Rider and Explorer packs of our snow camps you get coaching and guiding, and the group adapts to your pace.
If you want to ride off-piste independently, get trained. Our avalanche course costs 500€ per group (3 to 8 people) and trains search, shovel and probe, and terrain decisions.
