BEST TIME TO VISIT DAVOS

What is the best time to go to Davos?

Updated October 2026. Prices are approximate: always confirm before booking.

Davos sits at about 1,560 metres and has one of the longest snow seasons in the Alps. But not every week is the same, and one is best avoided.

Month by month

MonthWhat to expect
DecemberSeason opens. Good to start and for lower prices, but snow depends on the year.
JanuaryCold and reliable snow. The steadiest month for pistes and off-piste.
FebruaryGood snow and more sunny days. Also high season.
MarchLonger days, sun, spring snow at lower altitude. Great for photography.
AprilEnd of season. Only the highest areas have good snow.

As a rule, January to March is the most reliable window. December is good if you accept a risk of thinner snow.

WEF week: 18 to 22 January 2027

The World Economic Forum takes place in Davos from 18 to 22 January 2027. The town gets much pricier and busier, with tight security. That is why we run no trips that week. Avoid it too if you travel on your own.

Camp dates

We are finalising the dates of the next camps. Ask us via the Snow Camp page or WhatsApp. For groups, dates are flexible: group and team building trips.

How to choose

  • First time off-piste: January, with stable snow and coaching.
  • Tighter budget: December, or early January.
  • Travelling from far away (Brazil, Chile, Argentina): the European winter is your summer. Combine it with a holiday and pick January or February.
Snow depends on each winter. Before you book, ask us how conditions look.
